The Tour de France has withdrawn its legal complaint against the spectator who caused a spectacular mass pileup on the opening day of the race, its director Christian Prudhomme tells AFP. Crowds begin to arrive on the Champs-Elysées in Paris where the world's greatest cycling race will culminate in a triumphant procession later today. The 21-stage jaunt around France provided thrills, spills, heroes and chokers while outsprinting the dark shadow of Covid-19.
