The Flanders region of Belgium is a true heartland in the sport of cycling thanks to its mythical cobbled climbs. Dotted around a region known as the Flemish Ardennes, they are short, steep and provide the backdrop for some of the best races in the cycling calendar such as the Tour of Flanders, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Gent-Wevelgem.
