After escaping from the Orange County Men’s Central Jail a week ago, one of three escapees contacted police and turned himself in on Friday, police have announced. Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens told a press conference that 43-year-old Bac Duong gave himself up by asking a pedestrian in Santa Ana to call the police before noon on Friday.
Three inmates, including an accused murderer, escaped from the Orange County jail in Santa Ana last Friday.
Enrique Marquez, the former friend and neighbor of San Bernardino gunman Syed Rizwan Farook, was arrested on Thursday and is charged with conspiring with Farook to provide material support to terrorism in 2011 and 2012, making a false statement in connection with the acquisition of firearms, and immigration fraud, announced the U.S. Department of Justice.
A woman has been arrested almost four weeks after she jumped off of the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge while trying to evade police. Police say that Erylnn Sanchez Edwards was driving under the influence of either alcohol or drugs, and was driving a car stolen from Los Angeles when police tried to apprehend her.
