Florian Soldner est installé à son compte comme maréchal-ferrant depuis 8 ans. Il sillonne le sud du Haut-Rhin depuis son village de Manspach. « On ne manque pas de travail dans la région. Il faudrait quelques jeunes », explique-t-il. Sa présence à la foire Simon et Jude de Habsheim sera donc pour lui aussi l’occasion de faire la promotion de son métier. C’est d’ailleurs de cette façon qu’il a lui-même eu la vocation. Quelques jours avant la foire, il était à Hegenheim pour ferrer Belus et Danse en compagnie de son ouvrier, Gaylord Hanquet.
