Lors de son audition devant la Commission de l'aménagement du territoire et du développement durable, le 9 juillet 2019, Laurent Hénart, candidat proposé aux fonctions de Président du conseil d'administration de l'établissement public de l'État dénommé Voies navigables de France (VNF), avait notamment dit qu'il était contre l'éventuelle interdiction de naviguer sur une partie du réseau fluvial.
