Ceci est la plus vieille vidéo de chats ! Elle date de juillet 1894 et s’appelle « The Boxing Cats ». C’est un film silencieux, réalisé par William K.L. Dickson and William Heise dans les studio de Thomas Edison, l'un des principaux inventeurs du cinéma. On y voit un combat de deux chats avec des gants de boxe. Ces chats boxeurs viennent du « Cirque du Chat » d’un certain Professeur Welton. Une scène qui peut paraître un peu perturbante aujourd'hui, on espère que ces félins n'étaient pas trop maltraités. Et c’est cette vidéo d’à peine plus de vingt secondes qui est la plus ancienne montrant des chats. En tout cas, la vidéo de chats la plus ancienne visible sur Internet aujourd’hui.
