The 60th Agricultural Show opens to the public in Paris with nearly an hour and a half delay due to the incursion of farmers protesting against French President Emmanuel Macron. The pavilion invaded by the protesters, where clashes with police forces occurred, remains closed for the time being. IMAGES
Around 80 new tractors arrive at a protest held by Italian farmers on the outskirts of Rome to pressure the government to improve their working conditions. Italy is one of a number of countries across Europe where farmers have staged weeks of demonstrations to demand lower fuel taxes, better prices for their products and an easing of EU environmental regulations that they say makes it more difficult to compete with cheaper foreign produce. Several hundred farmers and lorry drivers block the street in central Berlin to protest against cuts in public subsidies, following a week of demonstrations across Germany.
