La patinoire éphémère du zoo de Mulhouse

Description

Découvrir le patinage sous les marronniers illuminés du parc zoologique et botanique, c’est un des évènements proposés pour cette fin d’année à Mulhouse. Samedi 28 décembre, le public se pressait nombreux pour apprécier la glisse, comme l’explique Corinne Pommier, de la société Co Let’s go à l’origine de cette initiative. Cette patinoire est accessible jusqu’au 12 janvier tous les jours de 10 h à 19 h.

Copenhagen zoo welcomes baby elephant birth

The Zoo of Copenhagen has released footage of a baby elephant which was born last week in captivity as part of a European breeding program for Asian elephants. The mother is 16 year old Maha Kumari and the fathers name is Fahim. The name and gender of the baby elephant aren't known yet. Calves weight in beetween 70 and 90kg at birth after spending 22 months in their mothers wombs, the longest gestation in the animal kindom. Edinburgh Zoo pandas loaded onto plane for their return to China

Crates containing two endangered giant pandas are loaded onto a plane as they return to China after 12 years in the United Kingdom at Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland. It had been hoped female panda Tian Tian ("Sweetie") and male Yang Guang ("Sunshine") would breed while at the zoo, but they did not produce a cub.
