Bangkok temple shines green for Saint Patrick's Day

Description

The 66.8-meter-high main pagoda and the other four pagodas of the Arun temple shine emerald green light as the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) illuminates its famous Temple of Dawn (Arun Temple) in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day as part of Ireland's Global Greening Programme. Hundred of spectators enjoy the never-before-seen nighttime spectacle at the pagodas that are otherwise gold-coloured in the daytime sun. IMAGES
