Dozens of migrants queue at Spain's Ceuta border to return to Morocco after an unprecedented 8,000 people crossed into the Spanish enclave earlier this week. Most of the arrivals are young men and teenagers, who swam to the beaches of Ceuta to find work and escape the grinding poverty, unemployment and hunger back home in Morocco which has been worsened by the Covid pandemic. UK Border Force officials escort migrants in Dover's port, after picking them up at sea while attempting to cross the English Channel. The British authorities have increased navy and air surveillance in the area as more than 1,000 migrants have arrived on Britain's shores in the last 10 days after crossing the Channel in small boats. Protesters in London try to block the removal of migrants from their temporary accommodation, as the UK government began detaining people before controversial deportation flights to Rwanda start. The protesters occupy the road in front of a bus believed to be waiting to take asylum seekers from a hotel in the Peckham area of the British capital to an accommodation barge moored off the south coast of England. Images show Spanish police leaving the headquarters of the country's football federation (RFEF) and other locations, following searches conducted as part of an investigation into alleged corruption and other crimes, judicial sources say. According to Spanish media, the operation is part of a court proble into contracts signed by former RFEF chief Luis Rubiales to take Spanish Super Cup matches to Saudi Arabia. IMAGES
French farmers are at the gates of the Rungis wholesale market, under the close surveillance of police who has set up a roadblock by the entrance.
