Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron arrive at Couesnon dam near Mont-Saint-Michel, before visiting the famous rocky islet in the English Channel to celebrate the millennium of the founding of its abbey. The French President is due to announce a campaign to classify more French religious buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries as historic monuments, in order to facilitate their preservation.
