Le marketing de Barbie va trop loin. Une Barbie géante à Dubaï, des Crocs Roses, des Xbox Roses, un Barbie Burger disponible chez Burger King avec une sauce Rose, un frappuccino rose néon de chez Starbucks, un dentifrice Rose de chez Moon, la pub Duolingo spéciale Barbie, le film de Greta Gerwig est absolument partout, grâce à un budget marketing colossal de 150 Millions de dollars, soit plus que le budget du film lui-même ! La bande originale du film qui se paie le luxe de featurer Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Tame Impala, Nicki Minaj et Dua Lipa aura aussi beaucoup aidé à faire la promo du film, avec la playlist officiele de Spotify. La mode est importante dans l’univers Barbie : Zara l’a bien compris avec sa boutique pop-up spéciale Barbie sur les champs Elysées, et pour assortir votre animal de compagnie Canada Pooch a sorti une collection de vêtements pour chiens inspirés du film. Et pour finir le look, Maserati a sorti une Grecale Barbie en édition ultra-limitée. Mais le point culminant de cette promo, c'est la Barbie Dream House qui a été construite pour de vrai à Malibu et qu’il était possible de louer via AirBnb ! Et tout ça c’est sans parler des réseaux sociaux qui ont surfé à fond sur la vague “Barbenheimer” en partageant des memes et des montages
