MAMMUTH - UK theatrical trailer

Description

Official UK trailer for MAMMUTH, starring Gerard Depardieu, in cinemas 3rd June, released by Axiom Films. From cult French directors Gustave de Kervern and Benoît Delépine (Louise-Michel, Aaltra), MAMMUTH is an outrageously funny and subversive tale of one man's attempt to secure his state pension, whilst facing the prospect of retirement and the inevitability of growing old in the modern world. Depardieu plays Serge Piladosse, a recently retired abattoir worker, who must retrieve former employment records in order to claim his full pension payout. As Serge embarks on a haphazard trip down memory lane, punctuated by visitations from his 'lost love' (Isabelle Adjani) and egged on by his wacky yet suspicious wife Catherine (Yolande Moreau), he discovers some difficult truths about his past lives and estranged family members, forcing him to take a new perspective on life. • LOUISE-MICHEL UK Theatrical Trailer

Cult French filmmakers Benoit Delepine and Gustave Kervern follow-up AALTRA with LOUISE-MICHEL, a wonderfully unpredictable, left-of-center comedy, in which the recently-fired female employees of a children's clothing factory pool their funds together to put a 'hit' on their callous boss. Out of work and down on her luck, ex-con Louise (Yolande Moreau, MAMMUTH) proposes to her jobless sisters the idea of ridding the world of the man responsible for their dire situation. While security specialist Michel (Bouli Lanners) seems like the perfect candidate to carry out the hit, his ineptitude is so great that he attempts to sub-contract the job to a series of inexperienced - and highly inappropriate - assassins. Notorious Belgian actor Benoît Poelvoorde (MAN BITES DOG) offers a memorable cameo as a nut-job 9/11 conspiracy theorist and actor/director Mathieu Kassovitz turns up as an organic hotelier in this cult classic in the making... "gleefully anarchic, relentlessly subversive and furiously funny" 4 STARS EMPIRE "outrageous" 4 STARS TOTAL FILM "hilarious... may wind up achieving cult status" SCREEN INTERNATIONAL "taboo-buggering, capitalist-killing delight" ELECTRIC SHEEP In UK cinemas from 1st April 2011.
