US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announces in Kyiv a further $2 billion in military aid for Ukrainian forces holding back Russian onslaughts at several points across the sprawling front. The announcement comes at a press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba weeks after Washington approved a $61 billion package of aid for the country following months of delays in Congress. More than 400 million European voters will choose a new five-year EU parliament between June 6 and 9 next year, announces the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. "Every person, in every member state, will go to vote" she says, "your vote matters". President Joe Biden says that his efforts to create US jobs were not intended to be at Europe's expense after complaints by French President Emmanuel Macron over state support to green industry. "My point is -- we're back in business, Europe is back in business.
