Baltics summon Chinese envoys over post-Soviet sovereignty remarks: Landsbergis

Description

The EU's three Baltic countries will summon China's envoys to explain remarks by Beijing's ambassador in Paris questioning the sovereignty of ex-Soviet nations, Lithuania's foreign minister says. Gabrielius Landsbergis says the diplomats would be asked to explain if the "Chinese position has changed on independence and to remind them that we're not post-Soviet countries but we're the countries that were illegally occupied by Soviet Union."
