Katy Perry est montée à bord d'une fusée Blue Origin avec un équipage 100% féminin pour un court voyage d'une dizaine de minutes dans l'espace. La chanteuse avait embarqué avec elle une marguerite, « Daisy » en anglais, prénom que porte que sa fille. Rappelons que ce voyage n'a aucun but scientifique, il s’agit d’une mission touristique. Et, bien que ce crew soit chanceux de vivre une expérience pareille, n’oublions pas que chaque passagère a payé sa place. Le prix reste secret, mais on peut au moins compter un acompte de 150 000 dollars. En 2021, le premier passager d'un vol New Shepard avait déboursé 28 millions de dollars, et récemment d'autres passagers ont payé jusqu'à 1 million de dollars pour vivre cette expérience unique. L’impact environnemental de ces vols est également très critiqué.
