The EU Commission says that Brexit talks should move on to trade talks as "sufficient progress" had been made on the first stage covering divorce issues, following talks between British Prime Minister Theresa May and Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker. SOUNDBITE
"We are now at the closest we ever have been at reaching an agreement. We are very optimistic, we are very hopeful. The representative for the Ethiopian government reads out a joint statement agreed upon between the two sides of the Ethiopian conflict. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says a new post-Brexit trade deal with the European Union would benefit both sides of the Channel, after a last-gasp agreement was secured. "This is a good deal for the whole of Europe and for our friends and partners as well," he told a Downing Street news conference. SOUNDBITE
