A Turkish academic on hunger strike has been released pending an appeal of her sentence of 6 years in prison, that found her guilty of being a member of an outlawed far left-wing group. Nuriye Gulmen is on hunger strike to protest against her dismissal after last year's failed coup. IMAGES
