Pour battre le député sortant UMP Michel Havard, deux candidats se revendiquant de François Hollande sont sur la ligne de départ. L'écologiste Philippe Meirieu a été officiellement investi à la faveur de l'accord EELV-PS alors que le radical socialiste Thierry Braillard, adjoint au maire de Lyon, bénéficie du soutien de Gérard Collomb et d'une partie du microcosme socialiste local.
